We decorate with the small LED lights. I found the best way to store them was to buy a few reels used to coil electrical extension cords and just wind them up at seasons end. No tangles!
Take a 1 × 6 × 16 piece of wood and cut 45º notches in both ends. Wind the lights around it when packing them away. I have 1 per strand or 2. Saves on BP medication.

Well, after all, the second thing about Christmas that’s such a pain IS rigging up the lights.

Save it for after the lights are untangled and he finds out they don’t work anymore.

Just buy new ones or a pre lit tree. Who needs MORE aggravation this time of year.

Maybe you’ll be in a better mood for the task after a few eggnogs.

I’ve noticed some leave the lights up all year and activate them at the Season.

Those wires must be very stiff and potentially easily breakable
