I know one cat who was born with no tail, one who lost half of his in a kitchen-cabinet-door accident as a kitten, and one who showed up one day decaudated with no witnesses as to how it happened.
While they all were affected in different ways by their own handicaps, none of them had any qualms whatsoever about the idea of someone else (cat or human) losing a tail.
And then there is my Sophia, who for the past 7 years keeps trying to make my head-fur short. She didn’t try to bite it short after I got a pixy cut but now it is long again, and she is back at it.
As always, I love the placement of Georgia’s signature and date—very ingeniously placed! Poor Elvis is so overcome with shock and horror that the Man would willingly part with such a necessary limb that he’s fainted!
Ah, but that tail has a new & very special purpose! It will serve humanity & help share hope. A world of blessings to Man! May he inspire others to give of their very selves for the comfort of others!
I’m thinkin’ Elvis is hearing that old song, “….she cut off their tails with a carving knife…” Will life EVER be the same? Can a cat live his life always looking back over his shoulder? Tune in and find the answer to this and other questions as we pursue, “Cat o’ No Tail” tomorrow at the same time, same channel.

Lupin is also overcome in the last panel. He’s trying to grab the man’s tail.

Next time when the humans look at them, “Hey, what’re you looking at? … KEEP AWAY FROM MY TAIL, FIENDS!!”

I have always like Georgia’s use of space. Great use of a double-size panel.

The looks of horror on Elvis’ and Lupin’s faces are priceless, as is Elvis’ faint. Thank you, Georgia.

Pure Awesomeness! And as always the placement of Georgia’s name and the date are perfect
poppet bear about 7 years ago
Well Elvis’s chart was right, it certainly did get worse with time – at least in their eyes :)
I do so love the facial expressions Georgia manages to convey, there’s as much humour in a look as in anything said with this strip

Poor Elvis! Would a whiff of bacon or ham revive him?

Despite his horror, Lupin can’t resist batting it.
