Yes, RJ, there was, which explains the comments here about “To Serve Mankind”. And because the role of the alien was played by Ted (“Lurch”) Cassidy, Brewster’s artist created the alien character of “Ted” in his image and honor.

It actually wasn’t Ted Cassidy that played the alien(“Kanamit”) in that Twilight Zone episode . It was a young Richard Kiel (“Jaws” from the Bond films) who played the alien.
