Tesla really should be taught more in schools…It’s a shame people don’t know more about him…DC current didn’t travel well, there had to be a substation every half mile or so….Edison gave us the bulb, but Tesla gave us the ability to use it….
Very true. Very long transmission lines act like antennas, broadcasting the electrical energy into space. (Passing under a high tension line out in the country, you can hear it on your radio.) DC doesn’t have that problem.BTW, is it a coincidence that I never see you and Superman together on the same comment page?
Well, well, well, sounds like the old which is more necessary in a disaster: plumbers or electricians..Both. There is no Tesla without Edison, or Edison without Tesla. .Edison was able to play hard ball with the gas companies and win. I pity the 1000’s of inventors milling around D.C. trying to get financing. The gas companies squash them like roaches.

…“Tesla was a scientist and an engineer and died penniless.”-Unless he got lucky with a stint on Sanctuary… that is. .:ºJ

Tesla is given so much credit for pseudoscientific bunk that educators may be reluctant to give him credit for real stuff.
