Nope. The Book of Daniel was composed ~167 to 164 BC,170 years after Alexander had rolled through. All the “predictions of the future” are perfectly accurate up to 165 BC (since they were written after the fact). The predictions are inaccurate after ca 165 BC (11:40-45, for instance).The book was written many decades after the Hebrew canon was closed in 200 BC.
It’s been a few weeks since I last got the paper, but I had one today and Brewster is now a member of the Chicago Tribune. This is probably belated, but congrats Dr. Mel.
