I thought NASA considered somebody an astronaut if they officially joined the astronaut program.

Don’t tell the flat-Earthers, you’ll never hear the end of it.

Brewster is what is known in entertainment as a ‘smart goof’ – a character who, in spite of the ‘goof’ part, gets a disproportionate number of zingers in. Gilligan, Bullwinkle, Larry the Cucumber and Homer Simpson are a few others.

I looked this up yesterday when I was writing a scene in a novella about a spacecraft launch. I didn’t know ISS was below the exosphere though, so thanks for that.

Because of his flight on Blue Origin, should the Karman line be renamed the William Shatner line?

I see where Spacex is, but where’s Desanex? At the foot of Mt. Everest?

I think a pretty clear boundary has been established with all the space junk.

The earth is not a perfect sphere, It is an “Oblate Sphere” since it bulges at the Equator. Thanks to Noraly at Itchyboots,https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qc29TtNUYlU&list=PL8M9dV_BySaXAcvOFRz-nz97x2eEHqZSr&index=11

Chimborazo Volcano in Ecuador is the closest to outer space than any other place on earth. Even Everest which is 1.5 km taller. G.M.

    Crib sheet for metric users (like me!) [250 miles = ~ 402 Km] [62 miles = ~ 100 Km] [50 miles = ~ 80 Km] [11 miles = ~ 18 Km] [8 miles = ~ 13 Km] [5.5 miles = ~ 9 Km]
