Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
âFifty-seven years in this business, you learn a few things. You know what words are funny and which words are not funny. Alka Seltzer is funny. You say âAlka Seltzerâ you get a laugh. Words with âkâ in them are funny. Casey Stengel, thatâs a funny name. Robert Taylor is not funny. Cupcake is funny. Tomato is not funny. Cookie is funny. Cucumber is funny. Car keys. Cleveland. Cleveland is funny. Maryland is not funny. Then, thereâs chicken. Chicken is funny. Pickle is funny.â â Excerpt from âThe Sunshine Boysâ
I would suggest that words with âzâ in them are also funny. Zipper. Razzmatazz is funny. âș
I heard a comedy routine on " Weekend Radio with Bob Conrad, a PBS program, about strange word combination. Something to do with âBouffant Balloonâ. Then it just grows from there. Galoshes make it into the mix at some point. Wish I could remember the whole thing.

We always used to call Richard Nixonâs pal Bebe Rebozo âBozo Gazebo.â Which was the only reason we had for mentioning him at all.
