Don’t think they’re playing fetch. In fetch the thrown object is brought back. Broomie isn’t bringing back the meatball.

My wife has an in-office all day training tomorrow, so I’ll have a meatball sub for lunch. She’s not fond of meatballs.

At the zoo, we often use tossed meatballs as an enrichment activity exercise for the various carnivores (they seem to enjoy chasing the treats)

She can always be insulted with food.
