I guess Buckles has accepted the fact that because he’s a mixed-breed, there’s no chance of him competing in dog shows.

I think Buckles is a descendent of Warner Brothers Charlie. I saw an old cartoon recently and thought of Buckles.

Show dogs are pretty much abused to get them to perform exactly correct, stand exactly correct, etc. Buckles is a very lucky dog! He wasn’t overbred to fit some arbitrary standard.

See, I actually like coming from a mixed background. I would have preferred more mixed. But people are more snobbish when it comes to dogs.
