Well, there are some things, that would be really hard to miss. But of course, it’s better to miss things than people or health! I wish you all a pleasent day.

Just ask Calvin. He is happy that Hobbes was safe.

They have safety. They have love. They have enough to sustain life. Beyond that is really not much more than fluff.

Substitute “I” for “They”.

They love again, fine!

We spend so much of our effort trying to get things and so much energy trying to protect things that we don’t get much time to actually enjoy things. And when we do, we realize they don’t deliver the joy we thought they would. Hugs, on the other hand, are free.

The best things in life aren’t “things”.

I think it is getting worse … . . and if this strip is cheesy, then . . give me cheese! How long has Mr Watterson kept us enthralled this time? 5 day’s? 7? 8? brilliant

I noticed that too, Mr Mirage. In my reality, swtiching sides of the bed just doesn’t happen. I’m beginning to think this may be fiction.

Maybe they kept switching sides so “the other” person would be closest to the door…..oooohhhh!

Well, as long as their home insurance will cover the damages. Make sure that their home will be safe than anything what was missing after the damages happened other days ago. I surely hope their items will be eventually returned to them, maybe not? sighh! :-/

Thanks again, Bill. I love how this art form - the comic strip - allows such simple and meaningful expressions of truth, but under the guise of fiction to avoid offense. I find that comic strips are a much better way to illustrate certain points than presentations, paragraphs, etc.

In my reality, switching sides does happen…just not all that often.

I know that this is just a comic strip,but once in a while there’s a real gem that pops up.The last few days prove this.

Definitely one of my personal favorites.

Calvin is a lucky boy. He has parents who love each other and who love him. I was touched by mom’s willingness to look for Hobbes before she did anything else.

Every thing seems fine, but I think its a mistake on the cartoonist part because switching sides every night is not realistic .

Things don’t matter???? What about our computers? LOL But then … the picture of Mom with her arm around Dad is precious.

I don’t know we have a tv that needs worked on if someone took that they would get much and our computer isn’t new either. Heer they would be looking for weapons or drugs. I know with stolen merchandise thiefs could get sell what is stolen at times not much for their drugs.

It would be really nice if the police were willing to make a huge effort to put the whammy on the guys who fence the stolen stuff. Might put a crimp in some of this thievery….

Just so they leave my ‘puter and TV and surround system……….

Switching sides can be fun due to the potential for an “encounter” in the middle.

Stolen things can be expensive to replace but are replaceable nonetheless. It’s the love and safety of your family that’s important and can’t be replaced if that’s what gets stolen from you.

We were very lucky in that respect 16 years ago. We weren’t home when it happened so we were safe and that’s all that really mattered … and that’s all that really matters for you too.

Graser, Calvin is asleep and happy that Hobbes is with him.

Calvin and Hobbes is a great cartoon. It has long been one of my favorites. The messages within each comic strip are always meaningful and/or funny. The comic strips of today have a long way to go to match the cleverness and humor of C and H.

This reminds me of a George Carlin stand-up act about a place for your stuff! He was the best at observational humor!
