Calvin knows a lot of words and vocabulary for a six year old. I’m 10, and I don’t even know some of the words that Calvin says.

It is only safe to say what Calvin said when you’re talking about a kiddie pool.

Have you noticed how long (“tall” for the grammar Nazi’s, but when you lay them down in the pool, they are technically “long”) modern day swimmers have gotten? If their records count, why can’t Hobbes’ record count?

Well, at least Hobbes didn’t boast about it ‘at length’!

usually Hobbes wears nothing but his fur. Why is he so modest in a swim pool? Tigers are all so Beautiful anyway.

Hobbes is a ladies man and a fashionable guy . . . he’d wear swim trunks and goggles if for no other reason than Suzie would think he looked cute in them. Muchas smoochas!

Hobbes should go up against Snoopy for an “animals in bathing attire” fashion contest. :)Also, why don’t swimming competitors in the Olympics get measured and put with those of similar height to them in different groups, to make it more fair? That would seem like a more reasonable way to do it.
