My experience of a control freak is someone who gets in the way of people who are doing their jobs, tells them how they really ought to be doing it, thereby wasting time and effectiveness.
I learned to hire competent people, give them a job, then LEAVE THEM ALONE TO DO IT. If they have aquestion, answer it, then continue leaving them alone.
I never met a true control freak that didn’t have deep insecurities they were trying to hide. I would also note that there is a difference between people who are very diligent in their work and actual control freaks. Being a control freak is nothing to be proud of.
I work for a control freak, trouble is, he does not know his arse from a hole in the ground. What’s more, he thinks that beans and frijoles are different things.

In the military, they learn in most wars that control freaks are too busy getting in other people’s ways and telling them how to do their job to do their own job. It works best when the higher ups tell their subordinates what they need to do, and then let them do it.
I am not a control freak.. Things just work better when people do as I… ask.. And not argue with me… See not a control freak.. I… ask in a very demanding way.. A control freak does not ask.. I… Ask.. You agree… RIGHT.
Actually control freaks not that bad. I used to work around some control freaks one was so much in control I could finish his paperwork with my eyes closed, saved a lot of time.
In twin births, that’s usually just the opposite. In the mother’s body, the fetuses grow one above the other. The “top” fetus develops a more assertive demeanor in its relationship with the “bottom” sibling. The lower sibling will be born first, but will be deferent to the second-born, as that was the relationship that was developed during gestation. The second-born will be the first to go into strange places and explore, or get into trouble — a more alpha personality compared to the first-born. Cool, no?

I like to control those things I can actually do something about. Everything else is somebody else’s problem and they can deal with it.

Calvin’s dad’s explanation… actually seems to make sense. And it’s quite relevant today, what with all our imports…
