It’s good to know, Calvin has a spiritual side.

I nearly look (hear) only TV, when I have something other to do! Very seldom I sit before TV and have nothing other to do, multitasking!!

Gave up on TV nearly 4 years ago. Paying to watch commercials, a huge waste of time and money!

I remember when TVs took a minute to warm up: when they had those big bulbs or tubes in them. Remember waiting as it faded away when it was turned off?

@number six, and I remember “I am not a number I am a free man”, and the" Be seeing you" salute, and who could for get that marvellous piece of British engineering he drove The classic Lotus 7. SO classic they are still making the same car today , badged as a Chatham super 7…..I even drove all the way to Portmerrion JUST to be there, and buy the T-shirt .

No one rendered TV like Watterson did. What would he do without today’s large, flat screens? Would they still be jumping at crazy angles? ;)

Ah, television. The worst producer of the consumerist culture in the U.S.

Today’s strip would be really funny if it wasn’t disturbingly true with so many people.

For a kid who watches a lot of TV, Calvin sure can speak with complex sentences and big words. Probably learned it on TV. Goes to show that watching TV ain’t all bad!

The drawing of Calvin appears to be one of the earlier strips written by Watterson. As for the Prisoner, my favorite episode was Hammer Into Anvil Psychological warfare at it’s finest!

When (Lenin?) said that religion was the opiate of the masses, he hadn’t seen a TV!Especially QVC or HSN (Hoarders Served Nicely)

Not to get too far off the Calvin and Hobbes panel, but if anyone at GoComics is reading this, maybe you could run a limited edition of “The Prisoner: Shattered Visage,” the graphic novel sequel to the show. (I mean, you’ve got “Santa vs. Dracula…”)

McGoohan was also great in “Secret Agent”, a low-key spy series, where his disguise would sometimes be no more than a pair of eyeglasses and a pedantic attitude.
