Mr Bun ate them. You can’t trust the quiet ones.

I think this was the arc where Calvin & Hobbes went from being a cute strip to being a classic.

Hobbes was clearly enjoying himself; Calvin broke up all his fun.

They must come together with salad!!

Sometimes you should follow the money and sometimes you should follow the crumbs.

I hate to be the stickler here, but…NormyBates is right. If Hobbes were alive whenever a non-Calvin person looked away, then when he was alone in the field, he would have gotten up and walked home. He is alive only when Calvin sees him or is interacting with him in some way.@iangoodson the reason Hobbes is alive in panel 2 isn’t that Susie looked away, but that Calvin was looking at him.

I can’t wait to hear Hobbs recap on this adventure!

I love the way Hobbs turns real for the instant Calvin sees him and Susie is turned away!
