Why is Calvin in a costume but Susie isn’t?

Many a person trapped in a sleeping bag with a stuck zipper would sincerely empathize with Calvin. One of the few times he earned it.

The original wardrobe malfunction.

I imagine that this is what women have to go through at times. A guy usually doesn’t have to get half undressed to use the bathroom. It’s reason number 17 why I’m glad I’m not a girl.

What would a “fat” costume even look like?

Before I was to go on stage in a play in elementary school, the button popped off my skirt! I couldn’t find a safety pin or anything. Thing is I don’t remember how I fixed it.

Time to hold it and go on stage.

In the strip shown on november 16th Calvin wanted to rehearse his lines and asked Hobbes to be ‘bread’ and prompt him. Hobbes then read him the lines “Glucose is the body’s main energy source” which are supposed to be followed by Calvin’s lines “In addition to supplying vital nutrients, many vegetables are a source of dietary fiber.”. So if Suzy is the person who is directly followed by Calvin onstage, shouldn’t she be playing ‘bread’ instead of ‘fat’?

So it’s official. Susie doesn’t have a costume.
