Good luck finding them in a dictionary.

Now Dad admits it was a rotten week. When it’s all over. Will he let Mom plan the vacation next year? Will he like --!

haha, this is one of the few times where Dad didn’t appreciate “roughing it”. A fantastic, ironic strip. The best part is that using your imagination can make the joke even funnier!

Poor Dad. Of course the sun will come out now! This sounds like my luck on most days!

Mom is at Homewood Suites.. She may not wish to leave.

Hobbes is so excited to be educated. Next, he will want to use all his newly learned words to impress the babe next door.

Dads note to himself: Next year. Vacation week will be booked the following week.

This will be the eclipse. The clouds will come in just before the start and clear up about 1 hour after the end! Guaranteed.

And I’ll just bet that if Dad started unpacking, rain would start up again.

Rain is so underappreciated

Rather like my last summer at Boy Scout Camp. Rained steadily the whole time. Hated squishy wet shoes, went without them. Hated damp, clammy shirt, went without it.

This happened to us on a 10 day vacation in the FL keys. Rained every day. We went fishing dressed in garbage bags. We had one day left and packed up to leave. After breakfast, leaving the restaurant, we saw a patch of blue sky, checked into a motel, put the boat in the water, caught the biggest dolphin (fish, not Flipper) ever, and went snorkeling on the reef. Saved the vacation.
