Don’t you love surprise guests?

Fun fact: when I was Calvin’s age, my mom temporarily banned me from reading C&H because I was attacking my babysitter like Calvin always did with Rosalyn.

I just started reading this and I already know that these guys have quite a history. Can’t wait to see what kind of battle goes on this time!

She might as well be The Wicked Witch of the West.

I thought so, seeing the face of Calvin in the third panel!! What else could startle him so?!

I read C&H from the beginning. In fact the main reason I kept getting our local paper was so I would not miss one day.

I always liked my babysitters. But perhaps it wasn’t mutual; I don’t think I got the same ones much more than twice.

What I really love is the drawing in this strip. That first panel is Watterson at his daily best.

I had a babysitter (girl next door) who had a LOOOONG braid down her back like Rapunzel. My brother and I were always threatening her that we would cut it off…walking around with scissors and things like that. Of course, we were all just talk, but in hindsight, God only knows what she thought of us.

I do love a good Rosalyn story arc!
