Dad should have went outside with him. Pretty soon Calvin will be driving off to college and dad will regret not spending more time building snow goons.

A not-so-subtle message from Calvin…

Never understood parents telling a kid to go out and play by himself. Options of things to do are very limited if you have no one with whom to play.

It doesn’t work for me to send the grandkids outside alone. They think I have to join them and play ball with them and I don’t do cold.

Ha! I’ve always loved this.

I remember in the Corps you could get in trouble even if you didn’t say anything. They called it “silent contempt”.

Where does Calvin always seem to find just the right twigs of expression?

We couldn’t wait to get outside to play in the snow. We got pretty cold sometimes or hot and sweaty in all those over coats, leggings, sweaters etc…Great fun.

I can never get the mouth to make those expressions.

Calvin did pay back, used some energy.

Props to Calvin for making the most expressive snow people of all time.

I did a runover snow kid, with a horrified snow man with my dad’s car, one winter.
