A very spiritual week for Calvin.

Calvin knows a lot of words, yet sucks at checkers.

Calvin actually won 165 straight games, he just forgot to tell Hobbs they were playing “give away” checkers .

Obviously the win was stolen.

My my, isn’t Calvin just intoxicated on his own spirit.

The problem is that they’re playing regular Checkers. They need to start playing Calvin Checkers.

In my screenplay, I am the most brilliant chess player who has ever lived.

I’m impressed that Calvin managed to get his checkers into a position where nine of them could be jumped at once. That’s not easy.

Maybe Calvin should challenge Charlie Brown.

I bet Calvin’s spirit wants to kick more than the spirit of Hobbes’s checkers.

“My spirit still is unvanquished.”

If this is Calvin’s mind creating this, it’s getting kinda dark.

In life you will find there’s always someone who can’t accept defeat.

Can’t get over with your spirit, Calvin?

Don’t give up Calvin, 166th time’s the charm.

So your spirit is turning into Bobby Knight?

Calvin been reading up on Nordic mythology?

Calvin declares it a moral victory.

Calvin’s spirit is indomitable, delusional with it, but indomitable nevertheless!

I’ve met my spirit animal. It’s a sea turtle. It doesn’t talk much but it’s a great listener.

Kind of like how baby Lucy always beats Charlie Brown on Peanuts Begins. I think she’s up to 4,000 straight wins.

A silver cloud amongst the losses or denial of reality. It’s difficult to tell with Calvin.

Hobbes holds a slight edge.

In the 50s Charlie Brown and Lucy had ongoing checker matches. He always lost.

Imagine if Mr. Watterson had added a younger sibling to the mix…

Oh boy….

And Trump’s spirit is still winning the 2020 election . . . despite his loosing in nearly as many court cases as Calvin lost checkers games.

Reframe the game. Play to lose It will be over quicker. :)

I didn’t know Calvin practiced Stoicism.

Self-defeating alter ego. Ouch.

Watch out for flying objects. I bet one hits Mom or Dad. That is Calvin’s usual luck.
