I’m recently retired, so no more makeup for me. I stopped using foundation years ago when one day I couldn’t remember why I was using it in the first place. I always wore mascara at work and at social events, and lipstick when I was speaking in front of others (part of my job). There were a few times before the pandemic that I wanted to wear mascara, but then I thought of how old the tube was and decided not to.
That said, when I was young, especially in my 20’s, I loved wearing makeup. It was fun. Eye makeup especially. All the cool colors and great things I could do. I was well known for it. I did not do it for anyone else, just for me. I was very proud of my eyelashes, which, top and bottom lashes, were very thick and long.

I used to wear makeup on occasion. Now, I don’t (except for nail polish). One good thing about this is that many of us have discovered less is more.
