Why do you even care what he looks like now, Cathy? He’d still be too young for you, which is why you broke up with him in the first place, remember? EYEROLL

That is pretty amazing. All I remember from the 90’s was people using theknot.com to post all sorts of stuff about themselves. Even back then, I thought it was odd, too much information. One or two photos is fine, but 500?? Nuts!Good morning, legaleagle, Susan and Aaron!Today I’m posting early because I’m going on a field trip with Jr’s class to somewhere that Aaron knows all about… the fire safety house! I don’t know much about it, but I think it’s a simulated house where they can take kids and they can act out what to do in case of a fire so they don’t freak out when it really happens. Should be interesting. Would it be odd if I called all of the firemen, “Aaron”? ;-)Hello to the rest of the gang… GsMom, KFG, Billy, rgcviper, lindz.coop, hendelca, Mona, serenasakitty, kittycatpawsare, gmforde, soonergal, lippyfish, Mai Tai, Willi Nilli, mollie, AnonaMona, Bronzepony, simpsonfan2, tegm, legaleagle, Shyygirl27, catsarge10, BJIllistrated, ncalifgirl58, Molly mcgee, Teresa and all the other Cathy nuts rolling around here today!

I’m wondering what “Aack” sounds like. Read it a thousand times, but never heard it in real life. For a second I thought it is the only “word” I know with two “A” but then Aaron came to mind…

Good Morning and good afternoon lightenup, mollie05, AnonaMona, Dr. KFG, Susan Newman, Aaron, Dr. Billy, Gretchen’s Mom and anybody else!

@Bronzepony, I have heard what “Aack” sounds like from the lady herself. I went to an event where she was doing a book signing. I strolled up to the table and told her how much I liked seeing Cathy say it. I said it, and was right about the way I pronounced it. It sounds just like the way it looks in print. lol

Good morning fellow Cathy nuts, had dental surgery on Monday and have been sleeping/pain/swollen ever since and can’t wait to get through this and feel somewhat normal again. I recently met up with a man I dated 40 yrs ago and looked better than he did!!!

Billy says that AACK sounds like saying Aaron and then coughing up a hair ball.

Mom! tell LMB to stop rolling his eyes at me!

lightenup let me know if you find another Aaron at the fire safety house and if he’s cool like me.

I became quite used to our local fire station when I used to work with Guides and Scouts, and regularly took parties along to do their Fireman’s Badge.

I suspect the rules and regulations stuck in my head better than the younger ones . . . thirty years on I still can’t go to bed without unplugging everything first!

Forgot to add . . . no, the fireman wasn’t called Aaron, sorry. Nor Billy either. Although, oddly enough, the letters L, M and B all came into his name!

WARNING, THIS POST IS NOT COMIC RELATED (sorry!):I’m back from the field trip and it was fun!! I was wrong, it turned out to be a fire safety VILLAGE, and it was very cool. There were many things to do there so we rotated around. The first thing that our class did was to drive some kid-sized cars (go-carts made to look like police cars). This taught them how to drive safely, be aware of what’s going on and when to stop for things like railroad tracks, etc. Of course, there were the smart-alecky kids who didn’t have their hands on the wheel or were following too close and crashed into another car, and they got into trouble. Then they went to a bus and got to jump out the escape door. Then they talked about what to do if they are home alone (they can be home alone up to 2 hours in GA from ages 9-12) and someone came to the door. I was always taught to pretend you weren’t home, but they were told to answer the door (don’t open it) and tell the visitor your parents are busy and to come back later. Then they learned about being safe with electricity. Then they learned about utilities and how you shouldn’t dig without knowing where they are. They learned how gas comes from the refineries in LA and makes its way to the gas stations. They learned what to do if someone is choking. They reviewed stop-drop-roll, and what to do if you’re at home and the smoke alarm goes off. Then they practiced in the test house with smoke filling the room and they all felt their way over to the window and climbed down a ladder. Then they practiced a 911 call. Finally they learned about water safety and what to do if they are with a friend and someone is drowning.Whew!! I hope it all sunk in to some of those kids because it was fantastic!p.s. I only knew that our fireman’s last name was Waters, so I don’t know if he was an Aaron or not, but since he wasn’t a dashing charmer, I’m guessing not… :-)

Aack! Be careful what you wish for. Poor little nut job. I’m glad no one saw footage of me eating breakfast this morning, blowing bubbles into my milk while feeding LMB some Cheerios.

Since I know she’s not far, hello AnonaMona. :-D

Evening to all our the late-night family. (Including my Mom who’s about to sign in to read her daily dose of comics <3 from Billy and sleeping Aaron. LMB is curled up in my lap).

    See you tomorrow :-)

The phrase “too much information” comes to mind here (even though I’m all to used to the idea).

Personally, I’ve always read “AACK” with a short “A”, as in “apple”, followed by the “K” sound. But, whatever floats your boat, I guess.

Why does she have to know what he looks like? What does it matter? They’ve been broken up for 6 years, for heaven’s sake! Will his looks be her “flip of the coin” decision as to whether or not to go to the wedding?Heads (good looking) — she won’t go . . . Tails (fat, bald and ugly) — she will go?She’s just sooooooo weird!

HI, AARON, DR. BILLY & LMB!!!!!

Love all 3 of you and glad you’re back together again!!!!! ;-)

lightenup: What a fun day! What did lightenupjr. think of it?

Bronzepony: I can definitely picture a cat trying to cough up a hairball whenever I see the word “AACK!!” in one Cathy’s “conversation balloons” (or whatever they’re called).

mollie05: I’ve had braces (twice!), a receding gum line (skin) graft, 4 wisdom teeth extracted and a root canal — not to mention all the miscellaneous fillings and crowns I’ve gotten over the years (plus, I get my teeth cleaned every 9 months). It’s certainly nothing I’ve ever enjoyed but I endure it so that I’ll (hopefully!) be able to hang on to my natural teeth until the very end and not wind up with the unpleasant inconvenience of false ones like my parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and others of their generation that I know. Hope you feel better soon!!!!!

Good evening, lightenup, lightenupjr., Dr. K.F.G., Susan, lindz.coop, rgcviper, gmforde, serenasakitty, kittycatpawsare, hendelca, Gator007, legaleagle48, mollie05, AnonaMona, catsarge10, millie p, soonergal, Bronzepony, Molly mcgee, simpsonfan2, Shyygirl27, Violet Bay, AndiJ, BJIllistrated, ncalifgirl58, summerdog, ruizuno1, Wolf Emperor, FinnyGirl and all the REST of the “Cathy” fanatics joining us here tonight. As always, it’s really great to “see” you all and if you’re new here . . . WELCOME TO CATHY’S NUTHOUSE!!!!! GLAD YOU’RE JOINING IN ON ALL THE FUN!!!!! ;-)
