Mom: Cathy said Irving was stopping by tonight. Maybe there's a little spark in the air...If he came by at 7:00......And if they went out for a bite to eat...They should be snuggled up on the sofa and.... Cathy (from phone): HE SHAVED ALL HIS HAIR OFF, MOM! Mom: I hate Saturday nights. Dad: Not bad. She made it to 8:30 this time!

Time must move really fast when you’re a nut job. But I am amazed that Cathy and Irving had a conversation until 8:00-something. I wonder how dad avoids being a nut job.
Yawn. 4:00 a.m. Drives me nuts not to be sleeping at this hour on my night off.

And Cathy’s mom has that lovely apron on, of course. Really, I don’t know why she expects Cathy to be any different than usual. I know I don’t.Good morning, Aaron! I hope you were able to get back to sleep.Good morning, Susan!Hello to the rest of the crew who are either sleeping in or having busy Saturdays… I took Jr’s Girl Scout troop to see a high school robotics competition…it was fun and hopefully some of the girls will take an interest to participate in one soon.Have a great Saturday!

I sometimes wonder how Cathy’s parents got together, and stayed together all these years.
Then I think back a few years in my own life . . . ! We’re all different.

Obviously the nut job gene flowed downhill, not sideways to dad. My paternal grandad had selective hearing, though granma wasn’t all that bad. She obsessed about our family ancestry which she took on when she and granpa retired from the farm. And she had mad baking skills.
lightenup yeah my bud did get back to sleep. He was up from around 3:00 to about 5:00, then slept in until 10:00. It’s hard to relax all the way when he sees most people at their worst in any given day. Getting used to all that after 3 months off takes a bit of doing. He’s okay. We got a thunderstorm rollng in so it’s time to distract LMB until it passes.

I really am perplexed about Cathy’s mother…she is probably in her fifties and yet looks in her 70’s with dumpy clothes and that hideous apron all the time. I am in my 50’s and have never worn an apron!! Have a great weekend everyone!!

Apparently, the idea of a shaved head on Irving didn’t appeal to Cathy’s mom either. OMG!!! Hell must have just frozen over because I can’t say as I blame either one on this one!!!!! What on earth was he THINKING?!?!?
Hope LMB made it through the thunderstorm okay. My dog crawls under or behind anything she can find if she thinks it’ll keep her “safe” from what’s going on outside during times like that! If only we could make our beloved, 4-legged, furry little “children” understand that there’s really nothing to fear while that’s all going on as long as they have us beside them . . . [sigh]
Good afternoon, lightenup, lightenupjr., Dr. K.F.G., Susan, lindz.coop, rgcviper, gmforde, serenasakitty, kittycatpawsare, hendelca, Gator007, legaleagle48, mollie05, AnonaMona, catsarge10, millie p, soonergal, Bronzepony, Molly mcgee, simpsonfan2, Shyygirl27, Violet Bay, AndiJ, BJIllistrated, ncalifgirl58, summerdog, ruizuno1, Wolf Emperor, FinnyGirl, ellisaana, marmar in MI, J. Short and all the REST of the “Cathy” fanatics joining us here today. As always, it’s really great to “see” you all and if you’re new here . . . WELCOME TO CATHY’S NUTHOUSE!!!!! GLAD YOU’RE JOINING IN ON ALL THE FUN!!!!! ;-)
Happy Saturday everyone! Don’t know where everybody is but wherever you are . . . whatever you’re doing . . . hope you’re having a great time!!!!! ;-)

I’m just sitting here typing, but I’ve had nice warm cuddles from both my furry boys – they like to come and sit on my chest while I work!
But they’ve both gone to examine their dishes now, so it must be dinner time.

In my humble opinion, the “nutjob-ness” runs through the WHOLE family—Cathy, Mom, and (at times) Irving. Plenty to go around, I suppose. (Not sure how Dad escaped, though.)
Hope you’re all having a nice weekend.

Hi Cathyites!! Irving is enough to make anyone “nuts.” Billy — My biggest furriest cat, Panda has a hard time with thunderstorms, slinking around with his tail between his legs, looking for a place to hide under. It never occurs to him to head for the basement, nope, he is upstairs cowering between my feet. He cannot be comforted, as he is still a little feral and will not let anyone pick him up or hold him on their lap. (I mean he did live in the “wild” for about 10 days after he was born, but still freaks over thunderstorms — go figure.)
