Cathy: I know you and Mom put money aside for my wedding a long time ago, Dad, and I love you for doing it....but Irving and I aren't kids just starting out anymore. We've had our own big careers and savings plans for years! We're hardly going to lean on you for a $10,000 wedding! Irving: Now we need $20,000. Mom: He's joking, dear. Cathy: It's more like $28,000.
Wow, is this because they’re overdoing it on this wedding or because their savings plans are meager or both?A wedding does not need to be extravagant. Spend what you can afford, or even less. The parts you will remember are not the parts that cost money. You will remember the time with your loved ones and the loving feelings you have, not what appetizers you had or what color your flowers were..Hello Cathy friends!
