Hahaha!! Cathy’s dad knows exactly what we’re ALL doing, and it’s definitely not unique. :-D
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Tuesday! hendelca, I’m sorry about your wife and her sisters’ bittersweet Mother’s Day. It’s always so hard once our parents move on, no matter what how old we are. Have a nice day, everyone
I love sour cream in cakes, tacos and any number of other items I enjoy eating but that stuff can be kind of expensive sometimes so I’d never waste it by slathering it on my face no matter who recommended it!

Hi, rgcviper! :-)
hendelca: So sorry your wife and sisters-in-law had such a tough Mother’s Day this year. The loss of a parent is hard no matter how old we are. My mother is still here (although in Indiana while I’m in Georgia) but my dad passed away a little less than 2 weeks before Father’s Day in 2002 and rarely does a day go by that I don’t miss him and think of him for one reason or another so I know exactly how she feels - especially when Father’s Day and his birthday rolls around. If he were still alive, he’d would’ve turned 80 this coming August. :(
.
Hello and Happy Wednesday, fellow Cathy fans. Hope everyone had a really great day today! :-)
How true the strip is today. I will even go along with the eyeroll. So many people just don’t believe that people close to them, like family or even employees, know anything and will trust that outsiders will provide a better answer – often at a high cost.
Thank you to everyone for the sympathy. No matter how many friends and family members we loose it is never easy. Reading your kind words does help a lot. Sometimes I think we should pressure our law-makers to make death illegal – along with pain and suffering of course.
Anyhow, it is a beautiful day today. The sun is shining and we can see the water in the bay. The north wind has pushed the remaining ice to the other end of the lake so we can pretend it is all gone – at least until the wind changes. Hope everyone else is having a beautiful day.
As far as I can tell, today’s strip is historic, too (for me, anyway), since I don’t remember ever seeing an actual [eye-roll] reference in the “Cathy” comic. I’m sure I missed a few, though. Or did I?

Now days people are using snail slime on their face. Apparently it works.

Yup—Cathy’s dad nailed this one.
