Hahaha, true! At this point, I’m blaming things on slow mail, but I honestly don’t think people care.

Hello Cathy friends! Happy Wednesday! Have a great day, all!

Apparently, “special handwritten notes” aren’t as appreciated as they used to be since I still do that to every Christmas card I send out every year and yet, am lucky if I get a return card with just someone’s name written in it and nothing else. How hard is it to say: “Thinking of you and your family this holiday season and hoping that you’re all having a really great one!” (or something similar to that)? It’s short, sweet, to the point and it lets people know how much you care about them. I don’t know. I guess I’m just an “old dinosaur” holding on to things past that no longer means anything to anyone else today. But, still. I’ll keep on doing it, even if almost no one else does it in return, simply because that’s just who I am! :-)

We got one of those update letters from one of my wife’s relatives back in Germany. I read the first paragraph and quit – too much bragging about all the trips they get to take. Of course if I had 6 weeks holidays maybe I would travel more. Oh, I guess not. No travelling at all right now.

If you are rushing to get things ready for tomorrow evening, please rush safely. If you are not rushing, stay safe anyway.

I can relate to sending cards that … extend the holidays. Though, I do try to include a little note in each.

    HI, MOM. Hello, Clan.

I just handwrite a little note to say Merry Christmas to most everyone and for some faraway folks I send an update note…again, half a page in the shape of a Christmas tree. Most folks seem to appreciate it.
