Cathy: The bathroom scale is an irrelevant, inaccurate, insulting, confidence-crushing, personality-ruining device! Yet, after getting a good look at my post-vacation body in the mirror... ...I'm compelled to step on the scale for one unbelievable reason: It might make me feel better.

So now she’s saying that going on a scale will make her feel better than looking at herself? I give that idea a full-figured eye roll.
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Wednesday! Have a great day, all!

I suppose seeing the bad news is, indeed, worse than simply reading about it.

I don’t own a scale. I rely on the doctor’s scale to deliver the bad news.

Weigh once a week to track losses or gaining trends. No need to weigh oftener because the slight fluctuations will drive you crazy!

This is so true. There’s always that chance…

For some reason I had the sudden urge to step on the scale. I do feel a little relieved that I am still in my normal range – albeit the high end of that range. Relieved because it has been hot and an ice cream cone after dinner tastes really good.
I hope everyone enjoys the rest of the week and has a great weekend. We are off tomorrow to drive south to London, ON to visit my older daughter and her fiancé in their new home.

A large part of dieting is, in my mind, mental. Eating well and exercising are important, but they won’t take you all the way without the right attitude.
