My cat Kirby, pictured as my avatar, would just wrinkle up his forehead and sniff with a “What you got there?” attitude. He was very polite and would accept the occasional sample of everything from popcorn to faux cheese.

My two cats have to know what I have but they are so picky they sniff it then stick their noses in the air. Because it is not good enough. lol

They just want to see what’s going on. New food is exciting! Plus it belongs to someone else. Even more exciting! :-) (Cathy’s eyes look painful in today’s strip. Ouch!)

Hello Cathy friends! Happy Tuesday! Have a great day, all!

Wow! Cathy has found a diet plan that will work for her.

I just got caught up with the strips and comments. Looks like I missed a busy week. karalykru getting missed by a micro burst (that is what we call a derecho), several people (including me) missing pets that are no longer with us, the joys of pet sitting, fudge cake, rgcviper’s eyerolls, a shout out to our missing friends, and much more.

I am glad to be back here with everyone but it was a fun week. Kabaret 2023, the 50th anniversary of our first variety show back in 1973, was a huge success. I did have to appear on the stage after the finale as the cast and crew presented me with a plaque honouring my 50th anniversary with the show. Yup, I am getting old. I did not do the lighting for the first show but I did audio record it (home video recording had not been invented yet!). Now we start planning next year’s production.

I hope everyone is having an enjoyable Tuesday today.

They’re small dogs with very short legs. If you’d just eat at the kitchen or dining room table instead of on the couch where access to you and your food would be a lot harder for them to get at, then you wouldn’t have this problem. Combine this along with NOT giving into the temptation of feeding them off your plate and you’ll wind up with perfectly mannerized dogs at dinner-time that don’t jump and beg for at least one bite of everything you’re eating. We followed this advice when it came to our own dog and it worked like a charm. No begging at our table. Ever. Yes, their sweet little faces and big, brown, “hungry” eyes are hard to resist, I know, but resist you must or you’ll end up dealing with this kind of annoying behavior every single day for the rest of their lives because that’s what you’ve trained them to do and expect from you — not to mention the guests that come to your house for dinner, as well — so it’s better to nip that bad habit in the bud before it ever gets started.

    Hi, rgcviper! :-)

    .

Thinking of our dear friends, Aaron and Dr. Billy today on their 30th anniversary. I hope that wherever they are, they’re happy, healthy, and safe. Even though they’ve been gone from our lives for ten years now, I still haven’t completely given up the hope that they’ll come back to us again someday. Foolish thinking on my part, I’m sure, given how long it’s been. But that’s still my hope all the same. Love and miss you guys! ♥

I totally agree with Mom…I never feed pets when I’m eating and they catch on really fast. Even the kitten knows he doesn’t get my food. I usually eat at the table, but even when I have a snack on the couch watching TV, he doesn’t bother me for food.
