    I thought some of those foods and protein drinks he was talking about during and between his workouts sounded awfully high in calories. Years of listening to conflicting fitness advice combined with experience have convinced me that weight control really is as simple as “calories in, calories out.” If you want to slim down, you have to reduce calories. There’s just no way around that simple, unavoidable truth.

    Holidays do seem to be a time to gain a few pounds. Still working off (by not eating as much) the extra pounds added the weekend of my daughter’s wedding. Not going to go well the next two weeks as we are off this weekend (tomorrow actually) to meet my grandson and the weekend after that is the old high school drinking gang annual summer reunion camping trip . So two more weekends of large meals. Ah well, August should be quieter.
