We used to sled down a long hill on my grandparents’ farm pasture. Halfway down, there was a cow path, which provided a small bump obstacle. As jaypem notes, those cowpies are going to be dried, or at least frozen, and aren’t something that’s going to cause any problems.

A frozen cow pie never hurt anyone! Back in the day, we country kids used dry cow pies for bases when we played bball in the pasture.

Back in the day people would use dried buffalo dung as fuel for their camp fires because there was no wood available.
