What is going on in the air transportation lately. Near misses on runways, clipping wings taxi around, crazies on planes. Is this more of easing safety standards as with trains?

Ah, thanks for the memories of my model building days. I remember Revell had a magazine with a series of stories based on a magical sci-fi gizmo that allowed model aircraft to be converted into real ones. Maybe it was some kind of simulation.
