but they’re happy. For a couple days, not a big deal. They just treat themselves way too often.
When I was a kid, I liked black olives. I’d stick them on my fingers. That was fun. We didn’t go nuts over food when I was a kid though. My in-laws do, and have all sorts of food memories like this, but it’s not too healthy (all butter and salt and sugar) and you could easily gain some weight

I love my mom’s cooking, but she’s getting too old to make a big dinner anymore. She still makes cookies for the kids (young and old) though. Thanks, Mom!

We’re going to my in-laws for Christmas, and just Sunday my MIL was asking what foods to have for us to eat while we’re there. For no longer than we’ll be there (about 3 days) she’ll probaby have enough food to feed an army for a week. Then she’ll keep urging us to eat, when both my hubby & I need to watch our weights.

Take note, there are happy times in Cathy and Irving’s marriage, even if we don’t see too many of them because happiness doesn’t usually contribute to the joke.
