Jerk Clem up by that Carrot Stalk of a Hairdo, Get Medieval upon his Nether quarters until verily they doth Glow like the Apples he so rudely reviles, Banish him to lonely Exile in his Room and then go bake a few Apple Pies with the rest of the Family…. Sorry all, but I know/work with/deal with too many self absorbed, spoiled, sulky ingrates in Real Life to find ANY Humour in such Behaviour. And, YES, I am very well aware that it is only a Cartoon! just as the Anti Feline Troll brigade is free to put forth their Views here that I might ignore THEM… I have put forth my own View on this Subject and am quite content to BE ignored in turn by those who might Disagree with me!

I wonder where they live because I’m in NC and our apple season has been over for a month or more. Also, wasn’t it just yesterday that they were admiring the colorful leaves, but this tree is still all green and our trees are about half turned. This strip should have been presented maybe back at the beginning of September.

Clem is a he, look back at the bathing suits this past summer, HE wears trunks, and ALWAYS has.

You believe wikipedia that can be changed by people who don’t know the truth? Go by the comic strips themselves. Go to http://www.nightswimming.com/rose/clem.html & look at the last 2 strips on the page. HE is called MASTER Hog & SIR in those two. I do believe that the CREATOR of the comic would know more than someone who altered a Wikipedia excerpt.

@phritzgI also checked the Wikepedia write up about 1 minute ago. Clem is described this way: “every toy HE owns is always twice as spectaculr as Pasquale’s toys”, and HIS alter ego is “Toweled Crusader”. Phritzg is apparently someone who attributes all negative characteristics to females. Probably needs to read comics about the Taliban.

I do recall once upon a time Wikipedia said Clem was a she, but if you look at the original souce (ie. the comic), not an internet crowd source, you’ll find that Clem is portrayed as a male.

Though I’m not quite sure WHY IT MATTERS, please don’t get snarky “correcting” people when you’re wrong…

Clem, though incredibly annoying, does make a good contrast to Pasquale. And I think because we all have “Clems” in our life, this strip can speak to us more.

Hmm. Guess Clem doesn’t get any Carmel apples, apple pie, apple crisp, applesauce…You get my drift! ;P

with an attitude & hair like that, clem is gonna get used to being beat up a lot in school.
