Two different worlds.

Dad really should know Lio better by now..

I recognize that perspective. Lio is not interested in sports, and he no doubts attributes that to the attitude of his peers who do participate in sports. He’ll regret that later in life, when he comes to realize that those peers had nothing to do with the sport itself.

Lio has another idea.

Being a human cannonball is safer than playing football.

I’ve always thought that Lio has the most interesting walk in the comics. It’s clear that he gets it from his dad. (Human cannonballs tend to have softer landings than football players….)

and now he’s known as Lio “Boom Boom” The Rocket. Or Squid Boy, whichever works.

The circus is looking for a boy of his caliber!
