No, she didn’t “pull a Carrie on them” - that’s what the straitjacket prevented from happening. :)

Would Broomie have had better luck had her school been Hogwarts?

Actually, the straitjacket was to keep her hands off all the guys there. Not to say that she didn’t try other methods…

maybe the straightjacket was to get her to sit still for the painter doing the yearbook portraits…..

She wore a straight jacket so girls would try to date her. It didn’t work because she still looked like a guy and the guys stayed away.
