I consider myself a pretty rational person â if I were in Slimâs place, I would just brush the incident off. Dead people just donât come back to life unless the coroner errs.
Strange as it may seem, there are folks, I mean responsible adults, who do believe in ghosts. As a pastor, I have several times had to council with people who have some scary stories to tell. They use the word âdemonsâ a lot, instead of âghosts,â but it all amounts to the same with me. I donât believe in them myself, but have to use caution when I speak to the people who come to me, and show respect for their feelings.
âŠ.I do believe in GodâŠ.however I was never really a believer in the supernatural or the extra terrestrial until a number of years ago âŠâŠ my parents and I were driving along a dark rural highway in my old â84 chev pickup when I saw what appeared to be the the running lights of a big semi tractor in the rear view mirror âŠright on my bumperâŠ..the lights startled me because they had come upon us so quickly and I didnât want to alarm my parents so I didnât mention my concern to themâŠI cracked the window wondering if I could hear the hum of the big dieselâŠthere wasnât a soundâŠ.. I had had a lot of experience with night driving and knew quite a bit about lights, reflections, sounds, motors, etc. and how the mind can play tricks on a driver at nightâŠ.but this was differentâŠ..and I wasnât on the homemade houch or smokinâ the wackie tobaccie..anyway the running lights disappeared as quickly as they appeared even though there were no turnoff crossroads nearbyâŠ.ever since then I have questioned that apparition and feel that nothing is beyond the realm of possibility

Great background. Did our two friends get transported to the White Zone as part of their spooky experience?

In the context of this strip, what is Jimmyâs reason for coming back? Shouldnât he have left a message for his mom or something?

No doubt sales of Dickey Leeâs 1965 Laurie (Strange Things Happen) single have been increasing during this story arcâŠ.

Maybe he was seeking reassurance that his mom was okay, and he is at peace now.
