i like listening to classical music. it keeps me calm enough that i donāt honk angrily at people who donāt drive well. and THAT keeps me from becoming one of those who donāt drive well.
If she doesnāt speak French sheās in trouble. They take a dim view of people who donāt speak French. And sheās in for a tremendous disappointment. I wish she hadnāt pursued this.
My father never wasted energy getting mad at bad drivers, and we his children followed his example. His motto was, āAlways be nice to them that is bigger than you, like trucks, buses and police cars.ā
Why did Lynn Johnston change the strip? I liked it better when Connie swore at the other driver. It was much funnier.
Iām enjoying watching Ms. Johnson re-inventing her strip. I am one of those that did not get into the strip when it was young. I started getting into it after Michael was married and Liz was a teacher. But it is fun to go and look back at the strip the way it was. Thanks for the link.
You should pay more attention to your fatherless kid, and quit being a cheap tramp.
Thanks for posting the link to the original. I think the poor victim of Connieās bad driving looks like Fred Vale āTime to make the donutsā from the Dunkin Donuts commercials.
I donāt personally like either one of the strips, but the āsalt on his moustacheā is a gross thing to be dwelling on, and shows the shallowness of what she is looking for.
Yeeshā¦Connie is even less mature in this strip than the first time around! How embarrassing. Sheās a snooty, hypocritical, entitled, man-stalking idiot in this one, while in the old one, she was merely an annoyed, entitled idiot.
Did you know that she was supposed to be a feminist? Major FAIL.

I agree with yyyguy - Flight of the Valkyries can get you out of a traffic jam in less time than Claire De Lune, though.

I am curious to ask any of you as Canadian the question. Do they become a road-rage while they drive out there?

Merci, Joe, for the translation for the QuĆ©bĆ©cois translation of that street. At least Ms. Johnston didnāt pick a real MontrĆ©al street.

Well, thanks to the comments, I have a feeling this is going to go south quick.

Oh sure the same as anywhere. Even we āpoliteā Canucks grow horns while behind the wheel. I try to be calm. My husband on the other handā¦..

Forget a car crash. I predict a train wreck coming soon. Stay tuned.

Iāve lived in Canada for 14 months now and yes there is road rage same as in the states (and probably every where)
JP Steve Premium Member about 15 years ago
I want to know how she could taste the salt through the nicotine!
Edit: My mustache has been nicotine free since 2000!
MatureCanadian about 15 years ago
Yes, road rages in Canada too. Give Connie a break people. Single Moms do get lonely and Phil is a nice guy.
