There’s a story that a first-grade teacher had a bad reaction to one of her students using a juvenile word of some kind during show-and-tell or something similar, and informed the class that they were to start using grown-up words. So she shouldn’t have been surprised, when she asked another student what he read over the summer, to get the answer, “Winnie the $#!+” (sometimes also rendered “Winnie the Turd”).
