I’ve been studying these guys and their form, in case I ever decide to replace the figurehead on the prow of my galleon, The Irish Rover. So far, I haven’t seen any who could replace the naked lady.
Love it Love it.Back in college after a good play in football we would all strke a pose.We called the it the Big Fig Newton after that commercial. Each was different like reaching out like superman, long leg strut, one leg stand changing leg suddenly. Crossed armed tough guy pose. Still do it today when I do something good at work. Capt just looks, chuckles and walks away. Not afraid to liven a day.I remember when they stopped putting on the ornaments. Called it a hazard to pedestrians if they got hit by a car.I though in my youth what difference would that make. Injured by the hood ornament was pretty much the same as getting slammed by the 6,000 pound behemoth the hood ornament was attached to. It was still gonna hurt.
@Redkaycei Repoc I’d say Happy Columbus day but that’s not for 2 more days no matter what the government tells you….lol.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>You’re right ! Except it’s Oct. 12th but I prefer your version, because on the actual, real, legitimate, non-governmental corrected, holiday honoring a profligate Italian Captain sailing for a Spanish King and Queen, blundering into a Caribbean island, poxing the indigenous peoples, who he mistakenly named Indians, we really have something to celebrate !In 1492 Columbus arrived off Florida’s coast and on October 10th 1998 , I arrived in Sarasota, Florida , with – hopefully – not as dire an impact.
