You know it would be nice if the zoom feature of this site would actually bring up a higher resolution image of the comic. I can’t read the witty repartee of ‘Dolf the puppet.
A rough translation of Adolf’s socalled gibberish is:
“It is the last territorial claim that I will make in Europe,
But it is the claim from which I will not retreat, and which, God willing, I will make good.”
…This has nothing to do with this fantastic comic, except that this awesome collection of comic genius made me think of it..At work a couple weeks ago our supervisor wrote this on the board:’WORK WILL MAKE YOU FREE” Wondering why this saying was on the board,I Googled it..it was from Aushcwitz…a few days later..the sign was stolen..in my tiny world that made me scratch my noggin and pull up my knickers…
it is interesting that the translation of dolph the puppet’s rant includes the words “god willing”
our jihadist friends like to say the same thing before they kill innocent people….
there’s something about invoking god’s name that seems to inspire or qualify people to do unimaginable things to one another
no big news flash there, of course. don’t even get me started on the inquisition or the crusades or the ‘witch’ burning
Hitler’s private statements are a mixed bag indicating he didn’t think so much of mainstream religion either, but he knew what words the German people wanted to hear.
Pab: Not to pick nits, but could you please include subtitles in cases like this ? I couldn’t even tell what language Dolph was using until I enlarged the strip several hundred percent.
Otherwise - Genius!

It’s a quote regarding the annexation of Czechoslovakia’s Sudetenland under the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Munich_Agreement as far as I can tell.

Yes, it’s from a speech of his about the Sudetenland.

I was just inspired by the idea of Hitler as Mr. Punch. “Ooo, I been naughty. Shame shame shame.”

Brilliant!
