Laura: What took so long? Adam: Uh...the coffee shop was really busy. Laura: Mac's? He's never busy. Adam: Well, it's funny you say that...it's no longer Mac's. Laura: "Coffee to Go-Go"? Is it any good? Adam: The coffee? No. Laura: Hmm. You look guilty of something. Adam: I am! Guilty of loving you too much!

Oh, I’m sorry. The correct answer was to tell her everything in a nonchalant manner no matter how much she raises a fuss.

Nothing wrong with looking but don’t drink the coffee if it’s bad. Is nothing sacred?!

Adam - You HAVE THE RIGHT to REMAIN SILENT! (I suggest you USE it?)
“Rule 23 of the Guide for the Married Man states; ’ What EVER you wife knows, thinks she knows, or may have a presumption that she COULD know … deny, Deny, DENY!’”
And I’d go to Hooters ONLY because they have the biggest breasts… of CHICKEN [or so I have been told!].

Oh Adam that comeback was a dead givaway. You better spill the beans (and I don’t mean coffee beans) right away. You know she’ll find out anyway. She may make a trip down there.

My lady actually points out women to me. I of course look and come back with something that’s odd or a turnoff about the subject so as to maintain my state of good graces. My favorite line to use is “I don’t like young girls like that. They’re too frou-frou.”

Something changed about this comic strip about a year ago and it just has not been funny. Even the family looks different. Oh well. Good things never last!

It changed about 10 years ago when Basset stopped being funny. It got a lot better after he stopped drawing it.
