    The above quoted ver batim from text. Not sure if “simplistically” is a real word or not, I simply don’t know.

    If this were really heaven, he’d not need to be surreptitious about offering the deviled eggs. Either they’d be OK, and enjoyed openly, or not OK, and they wouldn’t want them.

    ++++

    “Simplistically” is a real word—but it’s used incorrectly here, in my opinion. “Simply” works much better.

    Perkycat: I don’t know either, but a plausible assumption would be that angelfood came first, all white, so the opposite would be… Sounds more than a little racist to me.

    Don’t know if Angel Food Cake came first, but it is definitely a black and white issue. And devilled eggs are usually hard boiled eggs with the yolks mixed with probablt mayonaisse (wish my spell check worked here) and something spicy – either curry powder or chili, or similar, and returned to the whites with a spoon r piping tool, and served cold.

    BTW, the eggs are first cut in half lengthways.
