Politics and politicians may seem bad, but you can’t have democracy without them. The alternative would be far worse, so lets try to make the best of it.
An interesting thought that has been running through my head recently: In order to get elected, the candidates must say they will do whatever YOU want. Otherwise, they will not get your vote. They may not actually want to do what they say, they may want to to do something else. My point is that WE are partly responsible for what they say. Isn’t that sad?
“don’t believe IN any of the candidates? Am I the only one who wonders what is meant by that (instead of “believe any of those candidates” without the “in”? I guess he is stating that the candidates are fictitious rather than they are liars.
