Gravestone: Whaddya know, Scarlett? Scarlett Fevre: Ahh, Gravestone, come have a seat next to my fire... Gravestone: Where is it, Lily? Wilting Lily: Lose your brains again, Gravestone? Or something more delicate? Lousy Susan: I ain't sayin' nuthin'. Cuddles Calcutta: Here, boy... Gravestone: Uhhh...sort of scraping the bottom of the femme fatale barrel, aren't we? Hamhock/Sofie Cochon: It's the hair, isn't it? I should have gone with the perm... Ambushed and left for dead, Officer Smitty Wesson now fights crime as the ghoulish gumshoe... The Tripp Topaz had been stolen. I called on the usual suspects. It's the hardest part of my job. First was Scarlett Fevre. One touch from her and you'd burn up. Next was Wilting Lily. She really knew how to take the wind out of a fella's sails. Next I checked on Lousy Susan. If her manners left something to be desired, the rest up her made up the difference. I wasn't quite satisfied, so I went to call on Cuddles Calcutta. Sure, she'd let you get close, but you might never get away again. I was running out of options, but I had one place left to turn...Sofie Cocho. You could sit for a while with her, but you might never get up agai-

Nice tip-o’-the-hat to Will Eisner’s The Spirit. The coloring on Cuddles Calcutta makes her look like the DC superheroine the Vixen.

The resolution is poor, so even though the zoom helps, it is a little difficult to read.

Even with enlarging, I first thought the name of our hero was something other than “Smitty Wesson”— that M looked like an H.

Have to agree, the resolution is poor – enlarging does not make it any easier to read.

I’m glad he didn’t go see “Matted Hairy”.

I can’t read this, and am skipping it.

It would be nice if you could read this on a large monitor. No, Ctrl-+ and Ctrl— don’t work on my system. Even when I use System Prefs to change the resolution, the text is too blurry to easily read. I wonder how long these reruns will go until they reach the date when the zoom option was available.

LOL, in the first panel the “M” looks quite a lot like an “H”…

why can’t I zoom? All the ones I can read I can zoom, but the one that’s impossible to read is low res with no zoom.
