Green Arrow was a sidekick to Green Lantern for a while.
Batman was a sidekick to Superman in their teamups. (Shhhh)
Iron Fist was a sidekick to Power Man.
Lots and lots of adult comic pairs that seemed more “hero and sidekick” than collaborations.
