You know who used to be in “Gil Thorp” a lot? Gil Thorp.

That has to be someone else’s hand holding the phone in P1 or she is quad jointed.

I bet when she went to Milford all the mean kids called Marjie “Miss Douchey”. Kids can be so cruel…..

Gil took a leave of absence to go help Mimi find the kids.

Daft must be some Irish slang for “awesome”

Marty Moon used to be in this strip also. Sitting in her corner office, Marjie has transformed into a hardened Murphy Brown. Maybe she needs a Shamrock Shake?

That’s one heck of a keypad on that cell phone. Definitely not that new Samsung model. Meantime, Marjie is looking very fine on a Wednesday morning (a little skeptical, but very fine).

Most of Rubin’s story lines have been OK. The summer story line was pretty good. But this story line is truly deplorable. Weak. Rather than developing characters, Rubin depends on the sensationalism of yet another odd-ball “transfer.”

If Marjie is any kind of reporter, she will “expose” Doyle.

Going back to last football season, the Today Show this morning ran a feature on an autistic kicker making a winning field goal for a struggling HS football program in NJ. Life immitating art (if you can call GT art)?

You know what else used to be in this strip? Sports.

Does the paper really need a tip to cover a story about an Irish kid playing on the local team? Haven’t they covered the first few games of the season? This should hardly be a secret.

Don’t forget, they also need to cover Milford Baptist, East Milford, Milford Tech, Our Sainted Lady of Milford and so many other schools in the newspaper’s circulation area.

Marjie knows Gil. They have a good relationship. She would just call him and ask about Gallagher. If it’s sensationalism Doyle wants, he should have called Marty and got him spun up about it on his radio show.
