Good thing Baldo was late, if he had been asleep when Papi fell, it could have been really bad.

Poor Papi, poor Familia! I wonder why he fell?

I hope Papi will be okay. Maybe he tripped on something in the kitchen. Tia Carmen and Baldo should get Gracie and go to the hospital too.

He was probably pacing the floor waiting for Baldo when he tripped and fell. If Baldo had been home on time none of this would have happened. How will Baldo deal with this?

Papi Sergio probably got fainted. Pray for him to get better at the hospital.

I love this strip! Poor Baldo…he’s gonna blame himself, but how frightening for him. He lost his mother already.

It is interesting to see the interpretations… Positive spin: Good thing Baldo was late else wouldn’t have found Papi. Negative spin: If Baldo had been on time, it wouldn’t have happened at all.

Can’t wait to find out what really did happen to see if it was good or bad or a mixed blessing.

I figured that’s what it was. My hub’s grandmother is hypoglycemic (though she’ll never admit it.) she gets dizzy and falls a lot. So, I thought maybe his blood sugar was a little out of whack.

Carlos, you’re killing me, I can’t take the suspense! And that paramedic wasn’t very helpful was he?

Hmm… I can’t say I like it. Whenever Baldo does a serious story, it comes across to me as disjointed, with a fragmented plot. Up until Wednesday, it simply seemed like two strips that lacked a punchline for some reason. Also, couldn’t we have been shown the actual moment of fainting?

Carlos, thanks for checking in, but nobody’s being very funny today – we’re all too worried about Sergio! And when you think of it, that’s a pretty awesome tribute to you and your creation! Thank you.
