Well, one IS better than three!

@GEE1A I found it rather frightening how quickly I adjusted to low fat varieties when I got hit by high cholesterol. When I would occasionally “treat” myself to an old favorite, it seldom tasted enough better to be worth it. As I said, SCARY!

Oh I love salted butter Sorry that’s me! I never like the margarine because it tastes bland.

I laughed! After Tia Carmen drops only one stick of butter in the big pot, Sergio’s eyes go BINGO! wide open! LOLs! I love the way he reacts. Also I hope Tia will make chicken broth that is good for health. Yo! Am I right??? Have a g’day, mates and lads!

I know people who add that much butter to a pot of corn for 4 people. Cooking for these people is a challenge- they notice healthy tricks right off and run away to something with meat and cheese!

There will definitely be some adjustment for the whole family here, and I’m glad it will show up periodically in the strip and not be an instant fix like on a TV sitcom (OK, huge assumption but I’m willing to bet)

As I dealt with cholesterol and bicuspid aortic valve replacement, the recommended diet was jokingly referred to as: “If it tastes good, spit it out!”

it is hard to adjust to a healthy eating lifestyle, especially if you eat deep fired food. the whole family will have to try to change their habits

Bald the spelling word should be FRIED instead of FIRED. Where is the fire? LOLs!

Even less than one stick is adequate.

My wife found that an effective way to reduce oil for sauteeing is to use a medicine-cup (as in those things that come with bottles of cough-syrup) for measuring it and a paper towel to spread it over the bottom of the pan (in this case, 10 litre dutch oven–linear expansion to Carmen’s vat needs only 5 medicine-cups, which is about a half-stick).
