Damn. That’s probably one of the saddest “X’s” I’ve ever seen.

Frog Applause is bare, I feel so abandoned.

I was looking for the “Tick”. It must be on the dog.

Has Teresa abandoned us? We probly had it coming.

So, T. gave up on her doggy-sketch and left her comic-space (X marks the spot) more or less empty, hmm?Why hast thou forsaken us?

I’ve forgotten many people, places and things over the years … I am long, long in the tooth now … but I remember every dog I ever loved. Even the beagle from my childhood that I never named because I believed that only he knew his name and since he couldn’t talk he couldn’t tell me what it was. My family went along with my conceit and referred to him as “(my name)’s Dog” … one of the kindest things they ever did for me.

The best pets I have ever had were rescues – including my current buddy, Zeke.Zeke was a pure-bred APBT who was born deaf and had the misfortune of being originally owned by people who refused to believe he had a disability. I rescued Zeke, from these people when he was about a year and a half. He will be 9 this December and he’s laying happily at my feet, as I write.Too many animals are abandoned and euthanized every day.Thanks, Teresa for a great reminder.Reply

Hi Teresa,

The wing-tip device is simply called a “winglet”. American Airlines put them on all their B-757s and B-737s. They really improve the wing efficiency by preventing the natural flow of air from the high-pressure area under the wing to the low pressure area above the wing. This flow produces the very dangerous “wing-tip vortex” which the winglet also inhibits, which is a good thing as well. Decoration of the winglet is optional.

In April we adopted an 11 year old Schnauzer.

Took one of the rescues to the vet this week—-“What’s his name?” “Never named him.” “What do you say when you call him?” “If it’s dinnertime, he’ll come to anything—If it’s not, he won’t come to anything.” Settled on ‘Buddy’, the other being ‘Buddy 2’.

We have three. :-)

On Frog Blog, Jellies is a correct translation (considering that “Jello” is a trademark) but “Aspics” is probably more accurate.
