Iâve forgotten many people, places and things over the years ⊠I am long, long in the tooth now ⊠but I remember every dog I ever loved. Even the beagle from my childhood that I never named because I believed that only he knew his name and since he couldnât talk he couldnât tell me what it was. My family went along with my conceit and referred to him as â(my name)âs Dogâ ⊠one of the kindest things they ever did for me.
The best pets I have ever had were rescues â including my current buddy, Zeke.Zeke was a pure-bred APBT who was born deaf and had the misfortune of being originally owned by people who refused to believe he had a disability. I rescued Zeke, from these people when he was about a year and a half. He will be 9 this December and heâs laying happily at my feet, as I write.Too many animals are abandoned and euthanized every day. Thanks, Teresa for a great reminder.Reply
The wing-tip device is simply called a âwingletâ. American Airlines put them on all their B-757s and B-737s. They really improve the wing efficiency by preventing the natural flow of air from the high-pressure area under the wing to the low pressure area above the wing. This flow produces the very dangerous âwing-tip vortexâ which the winglet also inhibits, which is a good thing as well. Decoration of the winglet is optional.
Took one of the rescues to the vet this weekâ-âWhatâs his name?â âNever named him.â âWhat do you say when you call him?â âIf itâs dinnertime, heâll come to anythingâIf itâs not, he wonât come to anything.â Settled on âBuddyâ, the other being âBuddy 2â.
I am so going to try that beet red velvet cake recipe, but Iâll have to leave out the espresso â Iâll substitute some double-strong pero instead.

YOUNG OTTERThe best thing about a young otter is you can sing âOtter pup, otter pup, oh otter, otter, otter pupâ to the tune of Lollipop.

Hi Teresa,
The wing-tip device is simply called a âwingletâ. American Airlines put them on all their B-757s and B-737s. They really improve the wing efficiency by preventing the natural flow of air from the high-pressure area under the wing to the low pressure area above the wing. On Frog Blog, Jellies is a correct translation (considering that âJelloâ is a trademark) but âAspicsâ is probably more accurate.
