Shag carpeting is back? Nothing new under the sun. Terrazo floors are standard where I live and even though they’re cold in winter, I’d never go back to carpeting now that I know how filthy fitted carpet must get, down where you can’t see it.

And Goat just fell into the shallow end of the room.

i thought shag carpeting went away like platform shoes and 8 tracks and beaded curtains.

Okay, so either Stephan needs to keep goat out of the comic for a while. OR – we learn of goats adventures in the land of carpet fibers and the little gnomes and adventures in wonderland down in there….. Maybe Elvis and Hitler are down there…. O_o

Wow, I remember my grandmother’s shag carpeting. It was a great way to lose my matchboxes and hot wheels.

An unfunny installment. Remarkable how many comments there are. Since most do not refer to the strip it’s a testament to the popularity of pearls (my own favorite since 2005) and evidence for how little the fans need to trigger chiming in.

I always wondered if our British friends referred to this type of carpet as “shag”?

Goat should know by now that, whenever he deals with Rat, he’ll encounter a big pile.

Why would Goat dive into the carpet like a swimming pool? Wouldn’t he just step off from the next room, so shouldn’t the top of his head be the last thig to disappear, not his feet?

I tried out shag carpet once… Turns out the “shag” doesn’t mean what I thought it meant… :-)
