My sister used to scream like mad at the sight of a grasshopper. Never did figure that out…they don’t bite, or sting, or anything, and she was not squeamish. (She enjoyed grossing people out, not at all the girly type.) I think she just liked screaming.
I don’t like moths or grasshoppers because you never know what direction they are going in – at you or away.@Number Six – I also thank you. Hate to be left hanging. I don’t have that book in my library.

I’m frightened of moths too…
But nowhere near as my fear of Wasps.
I once woke up to a buzzing sound and then I figured straight away it was a wasp.
And sure enough it was…
It would have stung me if I had just lay there for a few more seconds.
